6.3 Oregonator
This model is employed in Gillespie [2] to illustrate the limit cycle oscillations in a system with no reaction more complicated than bimolecular. Project file for the model can be obtained in “/modelRepository/oregonator/”. The model is as shown in Figure 6.15.

The results of a typical simulation using Gillespie Algorithms is as shown in Figure 6.16. The figure shows the oscillation of three molecular species namely, Y1, Y2 and Y3. User can try to modify the kinetic parameters and initial conditions to observe changes to the oscillation cycles.
