3.6 Parameter Estimation Setup
Parameter estimation is useful for estimating the kinetic parameters based on experimental time series data. This feature is currently implemented in the Grid version only. To use parameter estimation method– Use the “Analysis” menu and click on “Parameter Estimation”. A setup panel like the one shown in Figure 3-8 below will pop up.

In the algorithm tab, specify several parameters like estimation algorithms, evaluation algorithms, formulation, number of solutions, and number of iterations. Most importantly, these parameters can be set automatically with minimal manual intervention. However, you have to provide the observed time series data of the species in a predefined format (the format is defined in the “??” button) in order to complete the parameter estimation setup. In addition to that, you will need to identify which parameters to estimated, their lower bound and upper bound in the “Parameters” tab”.
